All items may be viewed online in our full sale catalogue with images for 3 weeks prior to the auction.

Online registration for advance and telephone bidding

In order to submit an advance bid or to bid by telephone during the auction you will need to register your details with us beforehand. (instructions for online registration are can be found here).

Bidding personally and registration

To attend the auction in our saleroom, you must register before the sale in our office, providing your name and address, and proof of identity and residence, for example your ID or passport, if necessary, together with your credit card. After registration, you are given a paddle – a card printed with your personal number for the sale.

The items are called according to the catalogue entry. The auctioneer starts with the reserve price of each item, as long as there is no absentee bid. Then he raises the price in 10% steps. All items are shown on screens in our saleroom.

You must raise your paddle, when you wish to bid on a lot. In case the auctioneer doesn’t see you, please call his attention to yourself. The auctioneer sells the item to the bidder with the highest bid with the words “Zum Ersten, zum Zweiten und zum Dritten” and lets the hammer fall. Hereby, the contract of purchase is concluded.

If an item is not sold, you can ask the auctioneer to call on it one more time. Furthermore you have the opportunity to purchase unsold items for about 4 weeks after the sale. Unsold items may be viewed on our homepage.

Please note our general conditions of sale.

Our sales team will always be happy to answer your questions during the auction.

Absentee bids

You have the opportunity to leave an absentee bid which should be delivered on the day before the sale at 18 hours latest. Here again the modalities of registration apply. If you are a new customer, please register on our homepage. Furthermore, please send us a copy of your ID/passport and, if necessary, your credit card data (credit card no. and expiry date). Only a confirmed registration from our side authorizes you to bid.

As an absentee bid, simply submit your maximum bid. We assure you that you will buy each item for the best price possible. In case of identical double or triple bids the auctioneer decides.

You can send us your absentee bids over our online catalogue, our contact form or via fax or hand them in personally. You will find an absentee bid form in our print catalogue, in our saleroom and on our homepage as a download version.

Please note for this our general conditions of sale.

The results list may be viewed on our homepage on the evening following the auction (no guarantee). The invoice will be sent to you via e-mail or by post in the days following the auction.

Telephone bid

In case you cannot attend the sale personally, you also have opportunity to bid on the phone.
