Bidding/Buying

1 Preview

You can view all objects personally before each auction. The preview takes place one week before the auction. The opening times during the preview are as follows: Monday-Friday 10 am-6pm, Saturday 11 am-4pm, Sunday closed.

All objects can also be viewed about three to four weeks before the auction date in a fully illustrated auction catalog on our website.
If you have any questions about an object, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, fax or email, or you can use the form provided in our online catalog (you need to register on the homepage). Your request will be answered as soon as possible.

2 Online registration and absentee bids

Please register on our homepage, then log in with your username and password and submit your bids via our online catalog.
You will find instructions for submitting absentee and telephone bids via the online catalogue here.

The placement of absentee bids is also possible via Bid4It, of course free of charge.

Please note for this our general conditions of sale.

3 Online bidding

If you would like to bid online, you can register via the BID4IT platform, licensed by us. There is an additional premium of 2,6 % plus the legal VAT. Information on registration and the link to the registration page can be found here.
Alternatively, you can bid via Invaluable (5 % fee plus VAT) or lot-tissimo (5 % fee plus VAT).

4 Bidding personally and registration

If you want to bid personally in our house, you have to register in the main office before the auction starts. New bidders will be asked once for a copy of an official identification document. Once you have registered, you will be assigned a bidder number that authorizes you to submit a bid.

The objects are called in the order specified in the catalog. The starting price is the stated reserve price, provided that there are no higher written bids. The auctioneer usually increases the price in steps of 10 %, whereby it is at his / her discretion to choose a different rate of increase if necessary. All objects are shown on screens when they are called up.

Submit your bid by clearly raising the bidder number. If this is overlooked by the auctioneer, you can call out and draw attention to yourself. Whoever submits the highest bid is acknowledged as the buyer with the words “To the first, to the second and to the third” and the hammer falls. The purchase contract is thus concluded.

If an object remains unsold, it can be called up again if desired. Otherwise it can usually be bought in the post-auction sale for four weeks after the auction. The after sale can be viewed on our website.

Please note our general conditions of sale.
Our sales team will always be happy to answer your questions during the auction.

5 Absentee bids via PDF form

You also have the option to submit an absentee bid. This must be submitted by 6 p.m. on the evening before the auction at the latest. Our registration modalities apply here. If you are a new customer, please register on our homepage. We also ask you to send a copy of an official identification document once. Further documents or references may be requested. Only the registration confirmed by us authorizes the submission of bids.
In the case of an absentee bid, the bidder must specify a maximum bid. We guarantee that the lot will always be awarded at the best possible price. In the case of identical bids, the auctioneer decides.

You can submit absentee bids online, by fax or personally. A corresponding absentee bid form is printed in the auction catalog, is available on our premises and can be downloaded here as a template.

Please note for this our general conditions of sale.

The results of the auction can be viewed on our website the evening after the auction (no guarantee for information). The invoice will be sent to you with the post or by email a few days after the purchase has been completed.

6 Telephone bid

If you cannot participate in our auctions personally, you have the option of bidding by telephone in addition to the absentee bid. Early registration is recommended as capacities are limited. Our registration modalities also apply here. An employee will call you in good time during the auction on the telephone number provided. We are happy to guide you through the auction in German, English, French and Turkish and bid according to your instructions.
This service is free, but we expect a willingness to bid of at least € 100.

Please note for this our general conditions of sale.
