287th Preliminary report

287th Auction – March 5, 2021

Marinotti Collection, Milan & Estate of Prof. Dr. Giesen, Konstanz, part II

In this somewhat gray season of the year, in which we are still severely restricted in many of our cherished activities by Corona, the upcoming auction at K&K on March 5, 2021 promises joy and joie de vivre and, above all, a bit of collector normality that we miss everyone!

This time, two large estates form the major part – modern art from the collection of Count Paolo and Gretel Marinotti and museum carpets and Asian artifacts from the estate of Prof. Giesen, Konstanz, of whom we already auctioned a lot of collectables in the last sale. The collector Paolo Marinotti, son of the industrialist Franco Marinotti, began exhibiting contemporary artists starting in 1959 such as Asger Jorn, Max Ernst, Jean Dubuffet, among others at the exhibitions “Visione-colore” 1963 and “Campo Vitale” 1967 with the group COBRA and SPUR at the C.I.A.C.
